We're Back!!! The Studio is Reopening for 2022!

Way Art Yonder Studio is Re-Opening in 2022!

Classes + Workshops + Online Class Offerings + Events + Open Studio

As you're well aware, the Studio has been shut down since our last workshop in March 2020 due to COVID-19.

I am so grateful to the scientists, epidemiologists and medical professionals who have worked at break-neck speeds to bring widely available, FDA approved vaccines, an increased understanding of the virus and how it spreads, and the development of more promising therapies and treatments. It is through their efforts that life can begin to bear some semblance of normal again.

The most important question I've asked myself and instructors/students has been “What would it take for you to feel safe in attending a class or teaching at WAY"? 

While everyone has been keen to get back to teaching and or learning in-person, there were several lingering, logistical concerns for both students, instructors, and myself. At the conclusion of each survey result, it was too burdensome to appease everyone and re-open safely. My small business has been shuttered as a result.

After much soul searching and introspection, coupled with CDC recommendations and the science that supports these recommendations, the decision has been made to reopen the studio in 2022 with a requirement that ALL students and instructors for in-person classes and events, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and any of its variants.

I am painfully aware this policy may prevent people from attending an in-person class or teaching here, however I just don't see any other way around it at this time. I realize there is a segment of the population that due to medical conditions, are unable to receive the vaccine, and I am truly sorry you are unable to join us at this time. My promise to you is this:  I will stay abreast of new developments in treatments and preventative measures and promise to revise the policy as the threat of the virus diminishes and/or the precautionary measures and treatments change. 

Online class offerings are currently in development at this time, and will be something that will be offered in the future and no vaccine required! Stay tuned for more information about a new website, online class platform and more!

Thank you all for your enduring support of WAY, to those who supported the earlier surveys and took part in discussions, and for those of you who are patiently waiting a return to the studio. I am extremely grateful to all of you and look forward to announcing our 2022 line up of instructors and classes very soon! Class proposals (send via email to wayartyonder@gmail.com) will be considered if received by December 1, 2021.
